Why are same neon sign but so different in price?

It deponds on two important compenents of neon sign: acrylic (PMMA) backplate and neon flex.

According to the source of acrylic materials for neon signs, generally they are two types: imported acrylic and domestic acrylic. The former has irreplaceable advantages over the latter, accordingly its price will be higher than the other.

Normally there are two leading imported acrylic brand, one is Japanese Mitsubishi acrylic and German DEGUSSA, Baidroid Neon is always using the former materials. Compared to domestic acrylic, Mitsubishi acrylic has advantages as below:

1. Glossiness: Imported acrylic is more glossy, neat, transparent than domestic acrylic.

2. Hardness: Imported acrylic is relatively soft and is not easy to be crushed or hit bad. Domestic relatively hard.

3. Thickness tolerance: The thickness of imported acrylic is stable at about 0.1 to 0.2, and the thickness of the plate bubbles is small. The thickness of the domestic plate is unstable, and some of the differences are as large as 0.5, and some bubbles are more and unstable.

4. Raw material purity：Imported acrylic is 100% acrylic raw material, some domestic acrylic mixed recycle acrylic material.
